Desde que tú te has ido was written by Eva Sobredo. She was a Spanish singer/songwriter in the 1970s known by her stage name: Cecilia. She left her mark on the history of Spanish music with unforgettable songs and recordings. But her career was cut short when she was killed in a tragic 1976 automobile accident while returning to Madrid from Vigo (Pontevedra), where she had performed the night before in a well-known club.
Eva Sobredo, or "Cecilia", also had as her producer, Juan Carlos Calderón. Amor de medianoche, Dama, dama, Un ramito de violetas, Mi querida España, Desde que tú te has ido and other songs she composed were famous hits in the Spanish-speaking world. Mocedades often found themselves in the recording studios at the same time as Cecilia. By coincidence, four days after the accident, Mocedades passed by the accident site en route to perform at the same club where Cecilia made her final appearance. As a small tribute to Eva Sobredo, Mocedades included this song in one of their albums: Desde que tú te has ido.
